THE ASHEVILLE CHORAL SOCIETY!
The Asheville Choral Society, 150 voices strong, is celebrating its 30th year of bringing innovative, challenging choral
masterpieces to its Western North Carolina audience.

Music Director Lenora Thom, appointed in 2000 following the retirement of founding director and Music Director
Emeritus Dr. Robert P. Keener, has presided over a period of unprecedented artistic and organizational growth.
The ACS presents three concert programs per season with two performances of each program. The makeup of this
volunteer, auditioned chorus is quite diverse.  Many, however, have considerable choral experience or are degreed and/or
professional musicians.

OLD FORT MOUNTAIN MUSIC!

Every Friday evening at 7:00 since 1986,  folks have gathered to hear and play bluegrass and traditional mountain music.
Nobody's paid, everyone's welcome and coffee and sodas are still just a quarter! Located in the Rockett Building on Main
Street, Downtown Old Fort. A variety of performers, not only from surrounding counties, but also surrounding states, even
from merry old England they come to entertain you weekly. From as few as three to as many as eight bands play for us
every Friday. The show starts at 7 PM and goes until 11 PM. Bands play for 30 minutes, then a new band takes over.

There is no charge for admission, but we gladly accept donations. Old Fort Mountain Music is run by volunteers, the money
from our concession stand keeps the show in operation. The concession stand is a big hit because you can buy a soft drink
or a cup of coffee for a quarter. Homemade pies and cakes are fifty cents a SLICE!

State of Mind!

All the music you love and miss!

A LOCAL BAND  that has written several original songs that will have you convinced that good rock and roll can still make your insides jump. They also
perform some covers, but add their ouw twist of excitement. Fun and full of energy.
